DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Devising and running deep learning or other machine learning experiments across multiple domains
Distributing training of models over high-performance computing environments on or off the cloud
Collaborating with data scientists and other engineers in designing and implementing state-of-the-art algorithms including from research papers and by conceiving variations thereon
Designing machine learning powered applications for complex, real-world business settings whilst trading off between model performance and computational scalability for the best-expected production value proposition
Consulting with data engineers in building, testing and optimising robust data-intensive pipelines for back-end integration into such applications
Consulting with software engineers to deploy performant models to production through containerisation and defining API services
Engaging meaningfully with other technical teams, domain consultants, business analysts and other stakeholders on strategy, infrastructure, applications and recommendations around data products
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science or higher in Data Science. Computer Science. Statistics.or a related field: MSc and/or PhD advantageous
Minimum five (05) years of experience in machine learning or analytical software engineering projects
Strong programming competency in Python: C** advantageous
Proficiency with at least one modern deep learning framework such as asTensorFlow or PyTorch
Familiarity with CPU-based parallel/high-performance computing with CUDA is an added advantage
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, shell scripting and git-based source control is an added advantage
An unbridled passion for data, technology and Al with demonstrable self-initiative
