DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Acquire, manage and grow a challenging corporate client portfolio that demands a range of Citi product solutions and sound credit knowledge.
Complete revenue, risk & portfolio quality responsibility. Business origination will be a key priority.
Working closely with banking and product partners across Citi Institutional Client Group to deliver one-Citi. Ensure total network connectivity leveraging regional support for Global names.
Build strong relationships with your client portfolio, enabling access to all levels of the client organization
Work closely with internal partners to develop innovative solutions to meet specific client needs. Implement and execute complex solutions and coordinate/lead deal teams
Understand and effectively manage, Citi's capabilities to increase and maximize client share of wallet. Originate new opportunities for cross-selling and safeguard existing client business, whilst ensuring product partner connectivity.
Implement calling plans pipeline reviews to ensure maximum deal origination taking place.
Business planning, data analysis and giving input for strategic decisions on the business and our clients.
Market and execute deals using a coordinated approach with relevant product partners.
Build Citi credit policy knowledge and understand how it is applied to client transactions.
Understand the dynamics of the local financial markets, banking industry and regulations and their impact on our clients.
Macro-market knowledge: know the players, size of the market, market share and other financial indicators.
Learn about the competition and be able to provide critical input to win transactions.
Credit analysis, preparing credit approval documents and credit approval; Liaising with business/credit seniors on approvals, annual reviews etc.; Credit monitoring including early warning and remedial management.
Ensure that controls and compliance environment is adhered to.
Take part in specific regional projects that require comprehensive attention and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Business undergraduate degree &/or Professional membership (CIMA, CIM, CFA, IBSL, IFS, ACCA, CA or similar) &/or MBA qualification would be advantageous.
Strong Credit skills, excellent business development and relationship management skills.
Team player. Collaborative. Strong work ethic, high energy level / roll-up-the-sleeves approach in order to support the team as needed.
Strong marketing, sales & presentation skills. Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
Analytical skills: assimilating new information quickly and relating it to the needs of the clients.
Quick learner and has the ability to apply new products or services quickly and effectively.
Ability to work within a matrix organisation and partner effectively with product partners and Banking colleagues.
Knowledge of Corporate and Structured Finance products.
Relationship coverage experience within banking or a financial services organization. Strong client relationships will be an added advantage along with relevant experience.
Knowledge of accounting, legal and compliance principles and procedures relating to the role.
