Have a thorough understanding of contemporary sales and marketing techniques, strategies and best practices
• Actively promote sales of used vehicles by negotiating effectively with prospective buyers.
• Provide effective leadership to the sales team located island-wide through effective coordination, guidance and motivation techniques.
• initiate, coordinate and conduct special sales events in collaboration with the branch
• Coach salespeople on best sales and customer service practices to improve sales performance
• Oversee all operations within the department covering sales, customer service, administration, inventory management, maintenance etc.
• Set sales goals, monitor progress, and lead the team to deliver agreed revenue and profit targets.
• Forecast sales targets/plans for upcoming months and quarters and compile necessary reports for management review.
• Be a goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment
• Possess a proven track record of achievements in a competitive sales environment, particularly in vehicle sales.
• Have a thorough understanding of contemporary sales and marketing techniques, strategies and best practices
• Be an 'extrovert' with an outgoing personality and service-oriented attitude
• Be a strong communicator with fluency in English and Sinhala. Knowledge of Tamil will be an advantage.
• Be CCE A/L qualified and between 35 - 40 years of age
• Possess excellent conversational and negotiation skills
• Have knowledge of the Sri Lankan vehicle market and price structure together with motor mechanism or related mechanical knowledge is mandatory.
• Possess a valid driving license
• Be a hard-working individual with ability to work long hours and travel extensively including overnight stays in outstations as required.
