Hotel School Diploma or equivalent qualification in a hospitality-related field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Process reservations by mail, telephone, or central reservation systems referral.
Process reservations from the head office, OTAs, other hotel departments, and travel agents.
Know the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout.
Know the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packaged plans.
Know the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation.
Prepare and following up of letters of confirmation.
Process cancellations, modifications and communicate other reservations related correspondence promptly to the front desk.
Understand the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
Walk around with the client and ensure that they secure whatever services they are in need of.
Make arrangements for clients' travel programs.
Be aware of all front office procedures and assist with reception duties when required.
Willing to undertake any reasonable request made by management to assist in any other areas of the organisation.
Open and close the availability as and when needed on OTA channel manager and on the hotel website.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Excellent knowledge of OTAs - Maintenance of high-quality scores and Yield management.
Hotel School Diploma or equivalent qualification in a hospitality-related field.
Should be dynamic, focused, proactive and result-oriented.
Highly capable at multi-tasking and managing a wide range of projects simultaneously.
Excellent oral and written communication skills together with a very high level of computer literacy is essential. (Multilingual communication skills will be highly regarded).
Minimum of one year's experience in a similar role in a hotel.
